  • Odin doesn’t detect your device or connection failure- This might be due to improper device driver installation or Kies interfering in the background. Re-read our guide to install Samsung device drivers and make sure that Kies isn’t running in the background. Kies is know to interfere with Odin.
  • Odin shows FAIL! instead of PASS!- This means that some problem occurred in the flashing procedure. Disconnect your device, close Odin, re-insert your battery and follow this guide once again. If the problem persist, add the Odin’s message box’s log and the reason of how you bricked your device in the comment section below.
  • Device is stuck in bootloop- Bootloop means that device is stuck in endless reboot. This generally happens after flashing due to the invalid data and cache state. To get rid of bootloop, boot your device in Recovery Mode by pressing and holding Power + Volume Up and Home buttons. Once in Recovery mode, perform a cache wipe and factory reset. Now reboot your device, bootloop problem should be cured.

My Galaxy S3 Neo’s baseband version is I9300IXXUANC2 but on the samsung-update site firmware for baseband I9300IXXUANC3 is available. Should I go for it or not?

    • RohanKandwal

Don’t worry about the baseband version, as long as you are downloading firmware for correct region and upgrading or flashing same OS version, not downgrading, you are good to go.

P.S- Needless to say that ROM should be for correct model too.

hey,i try to root my Samsung S3 Neo and i’m still new to this root game. So,when i try to root my Samsung, the Odin said Fail so i panicked and unplugged my phone. Now,my phone cannot do the factory reset, and Yes i tried already the Up+Home+Power button and it keep directing to the download mode. And,when its on to download mode, its said “Cannot Do Normal Boot”.PLEASE HELP ME…

    • RohanKandwal

Sorry for the late reply, you had an unsuccessful root install which tries to install and modify some code on the device. If successful, you would have a working device with modified code running.

Assuming that you atleast tried to install root file made for your device, you now have the only option left to flash the device once again using the stock firmware files.

You can find the procedure on this webpage itself. Just make sure that you are installing the latest available ROM or the firmware version you are running or higher. Downgrading the device won’t work.
