Unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105

This post here is to unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105 only. Please use this procedure on LTE model number N7150 only not on any other Galaxy Note 2 variant. Also this post is for soft bricked device not hard bricked (see the difference). This will flash Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to Android version 4.3.

We are not responsible for any data loss or other problems that occur by using this tutorial. Flashing ROM deletes internal memory. Use at your own risk.

 Requirements :-

  • 1
    Samsung USB drivers
  • 2
    Odin files
  • 3
    Stock ROM 4.3
  • 4
    PC with Windows OS on it

procedure to Unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE N7105 :-

    Make sure that USB drivers for Galaxy Note 2 are installed on your computer. If not then download the drivers from the end of the post and install them.

    Download and extract the stock ROM until you find a file with .tar.md5 extension.

    Switch off and start your device in downloading mode by pressing volume down + home + power button. Now you will get a warning screen and would be asked to press volume up to get into downloading mode, do it.

    Download and open Odin.
  • 5
    Plug in your device into the computer using the USB cable. If your drivers were installed properly then Odin will detect your device. If not then reinstall the drivers or unplug your device and reconnect it on different port.

    When Odin detects your device you will see a yellow highlighted box with ID:COMx ( x being automatically generated by computer).

    Click on the PDA button on Odin and browse the .tar.md5 that you got from the stock ROM.

    Leave the check boxes default and make sure that Re-partition is unchecked.

    Once all the above steps are successfully performed, press Start. Flashing process will start and takes 5 – 20 minutes to complete flashing.unbrick Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100)

    Once flashing is successfully completed, Odin will show PASS and your device will reboot. First reboot always take long time so please be patient.

Done !! Your device should be unbricked now.

    If your device suffers the problem of bootloop after flashing i.e. it keeps on restarting after you see Samsung Galaxy Note 2 logo the restart your device in downloading mode (volume down + home + power button).

    Select wipe data/factory reset to clean your internal memory.wipe data/factory reset samsung galaxy note 2 GT-N7100
  • 3
    After internal memory is wiped, select reboot now to reboot your device successfully into your home screen.

    hi, i keep getting this error and no clue on how to get pass this.

    E:cant open/cache/recovery/last_install
    E:failed to open last_install:read-only file system
    i have been unable to use my phone for 1 week.

      Just flash your device using a PIT file. I found one file at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2137008. It says that it is for N7105 and some member claims that it correct. You can try it.
      If you don’t know how to flash device with pit file, comment again. I’ll help

        hi again . I have tried all this , but have a problem, i think my device is soft bricked and USB Debugging mode is off and i tried to flash everything with Odin but always says failed. i am able to get into recovery mode and download mode. please help. thank you again

          How you bricked it? Guessing won’t work. Do you have custom or stock recovery installed? If custom then which?

            Hi I have philz touch 4 . And when in this mode its saying E:cant open/cache/recovery log
            And next line saying E: cant open /cache/recovery/last_log

            try clearing cache, that might help you get rid of the above errors.

            Hi. Everytime I try clearing cache it just reboots and stuck on note two logo screen.

            Try to install a different Recovery such as CWM then install a different ROM.
