Great post, it seems a good technique but it didn’t work for me. My issue is quite strange, I have bricked and recover other android devices but this time my tablet bricked itself. It wasn’t rooted or unlocked, and it had the stock firmware. Suddenly it bricked, it froze on the boot logo. It could get to odin mode and I followed this steps, and according to odin it was a success, but it’s been an hour stuck on the boot logo. Any ideas?

Have you tried clearing caches? What is your device model number? I’ll try to find a pit file for your device.

      • inkms

        The model is the N-8000
I havent cleared caches, how can it be done? The device is not rooted and doesnt have a custom recovery

        • Juan Rada C

Hello inkms! did u find the solution? i have the same problem. it started last week and i didnt know how to fix it. please share the solution if you find it. tnks!

          • inkms

According to Samsungs technicians it was a problem with the motherboard and the repair cost is around 200€ so you better buy a new one

    • cjwiguna

Same situation here, but with partition error

      • RohanKandwal

Hi, partition error can be resolved if you flash your device along with a PIT file which flashes your internal partitions. Can you tell me your device’s model number ?

  • Smartie

Hi. My Samsung gtn8000 got stuck in the boot loop after doing an ota update. Have run odin successfully but the tablet is still stuck on the boot loop. Would really appreciate your assistance

    • RohanKandwal

Have you tried clearing the caches? Bootloop after performing an update is usually due to “invalid cache”. You might also have to wipe your internal data in order to recover from bootloop.

Try wiping the internal data partition only after you have tried clearing cache as wiping internal data will delete all your contacts, messages and other internal stuff.

      • Smartie

Am only able to access Odin mode, Pressing the power & volume + only reboots it to get stuck on the samsung logo

        • RohanKandwal

Which version you are currently on?

          • Smartie

            Am using odin3 v1.85

          • RohanKandwal

Sorry for not being clear, I was asking about Android firmware version. Which version you were earlier on and which you are currently trying to flash?

          • Smartie

Finally solved the problem. I managed to get hold of the PIT file for KitKat and the KitKat stock ROM, I flashed both the PIT file & the ROM at the same time using Odin and my gtn8000 tablet came back to life.

NB: I tried to flash the PIT file together with an ICS rom and also with JB rom without any success. The PIT file seems to work with the KitKat ROM.

          • RohanKandwal

Great, can you please share the PIT file link so other can benefit from them?

          • Smartie

Please provide additional details such as how you bricked the device? Which firmware version you were on? Which firmware version you are trying to flash? Are you using a PIT file?

  • Rob Hatfield

wont reconize when plug it in usb doesnt pop up

    • RohanKandwal

      Have you installed drivers?

  • Johnfortich Vista

Forget it. I believe, all Samsung 1st gen devices are designed to fail/brick with 2-3 years. Most my Samsung devices gone within those years of usage. Learned my lesson and NEVER BUYING SAMSUNG AGAIN..

My gt n8013 is stuck in boot loop, I flashed the firmware with odin and it says Success, but still stuck in boot loop, any help would be great.

    • RohanKandwal

Did you tried clearing caches? Usually bootloops are caused by invalid caches.

      • Brian H

how do you clear the caches, I don’t see an option for that in Odin or in DL mode.
