Unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250)

This post here is to unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250) and will restore ROM to JB 4.3/4.2.2. Please don’t try this on any other Samsung Galaxy Nexus variant. This post here is only for soft bricked device not hard bricked (see the difference).

We are not responsible for any data loss or other problems that occur by using this tutorial. Flashing ROM deletes internal memory. Use at your own risk.

Requirements :-

    Odin file
  • 2
    Stock ROM 4.3/4.2.2
  • 3
    Samsung USB drivers
  • 4
    PC with Windows OS

All download links are provided at the end of the post.

Procedure to unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250):-

    Install the drivers for the Galaxy Nexus if not already done. Install drivers using Samsung USB drivers provided below.

    Download any one of the stock ROM provided at the end of the post and unzip it.

    Power On your device in downloading mode by pressing Volume Down + Power button and releasing it only when you see Downloading message on the device screen.

    Download and open Odin and the connect your device to PC using USB cable.

  • 5

    If Odin detect your device then the ID:COM box on ODIN will turn blue and will show the COM port number.

    Optional – If you have corrupted partition then click on PIT button and select I9250_partition-table-0915.pit. If you don’t know what you are doing then skip this step.

    Click on PDA and then browse .tar.md5 that you got after extracting the stock ROM.

    Do not touch any checkboxes i.e. leave them default and check Re-partition only if you have selected a PIT file mentioned in step 6.

    Click on Start and keep your fingers crossed !!!

    Done !!! If everything worked correctly then your device should be unbricked by now.
