    • RohanKandwal

Which firmware version you were on and which you are trying to install? To get in recovery mode use Volume Up + Home + Power button to enter in recovery mode, I’ll edit the guide.

I live in the Netherlands and my provider for about 8 years now is t-mobile and i bought the phone here and i know about all the button combo’s there are because i started flashing custom software about 7 years ago but i never had the above problem.

        • RohanKandwal

Which firmware you flashed? The thing is, you flash T-mobile firmware if you flash T-Mobile firmware if you bought mobile from T-Mobile, otherwise flash the international firmware version for your device.

If you have infact flashed the correct firmware, then there is nothing wrong. You can also check out the firmwares on http://www.mrcrab.net/androidfirmware/GT-I8160/Samsung-Galaxy-Ace-2-GT–I8160.html.

Also you can try flashing the firmware using a PIT file, GT-I8160_EUR_XX_4G.pit in your case, i think. Search on Google.

Flashing firmware using pit file might recover your device.

Hi Rohan i was on this firmaware I8160XXLK6 with CM 11-20141001-unofficial-codina flashing all this stuff went fine but after rebooting into the system i got this problem COM.ANDROID.PHONE so i couldn’t make any calls”i have asked a lot of people on disqus about this problem and i have done everything i have come up to about this problem but coudn’t resolve it”.After that i flashed this firmware I8160XXNB1 T-MOBILE Netherlands(because i live in the Netherlands) but then i got the problem what i already told odin gives me the green light and says everything is ok.But now i can’t get into recovery mode only in download mode and another strange thing is that he won’t charge the battery an my machine (windows/linux) don’t recornized my phone so i am stuck.

    • RohanKandwal

You flashed a T-Mobile firmware? From which country you brought the phone originally? Did you try the three button combo?

  • Eleeb-Nomar

Well i think my Ace 2 is lost the battery is empty en it won’t charge and again my phone isn’t,wasn’t reconized by my pc’s.I find this very strange because Odin says everything is fine and i have here 2 tablets and a S4 all rooted en running custom rom’s so i should know what i am doing. You may think whats the problem its only an Ace 2 nothing special but the problem is i need a simple phone for work because i am an E&I mechanic and want to spare my S4 he’s a bit to big for a phone with my kind of work.So if there are any people who have more ideas i am all ears otherwise i think i am going to by me a cheap huawei phone:-)

Hey man, this is very informative but here is my problem, I have a galaxy ace 2, it had the stock 2.3 rom and it was rooted. I flashed the CM 10.2 without having the CWM recovery but after flashing the reception was gone along with the wifi. In an attempt to fix that, I flashed cm 11 which fixed the wifi problem but not the reception. I then flashed it with I860XXMF1_EUR with ODIN and since then the phone is stuck in the samsung logo when I try to boot it up. It won’t even go in recovery mode in order to wipe the data etc. It can only go in download mode.
    Can you help?

Hi, thank you for all this. I followed the steps, everything was in process and Odin lighted green Pass at the end. Then the phone started to reboot, and screen went black, but it did not start. I can`t start it up even in recovery mode anymore.. Is there anything that I can do? It does not react in any way. I flashed with firmware, which was the only one possible to download for Kenya (where I am at the moment), but my phone was bought in the Czech Rep. but not under any coverage provider. I was not able to download other country here. Thank you.
